Palm Desert Choreography Festival Indio Theatre reviews
terrible show
My mom was my birthday present at the venue where we arrived 40 minutes early for the show. The playbills were unavailable. Just before the curtain rose, they announced that Fantasia would not perform due to illness. This announcement could have been made before we entered or sat down. I asked for a refund or seat exchange later, and we were only offered balcony seats. I had paid nearly $200 for seats four rows from the stage and felt this was not fair. During intermission, there was no indication that the show would resume, so I returned to my seat during the first act. At previous events, there are usually light flicks or announcements before the second act begins, but not here. This was my first and last event at the Arie Crown. The absence of the star, among other issues, made it a terrible experience.
